Bodegas Triton Tridente Tempranillo 2013
Review by Eric Tansey, CSW
The Tempranillo grape has really started to find its identity, due to a more modern take on the wine making process. The wine is made with longer fermentation periods and aged in American and French oak barrels, creating wines with more body and subtle oak flavors. If you like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Syrah than you must give Tempranillo a go!
What a fantastic and beautiful expression of Tempranillo. Aromas of black fruits, spices, and incense. On the palate, a sweet taste of black cherry, complimented by dried tobacco and leather. Bright acidity and firm tannins bring it all home, leaving a well structured and complex wine with a lasting finish.
- Fermented in stainless steel
- 15 months in French oak barrel
- 8 months in bottle
“Rustic, rugged, bold, and beautiful. A game changer at this price point.”— Eric Tansey,CSW
